In our monthly survey of investment professionals (Market Forecast Project), we ask our participants to predict the movements in commodity prices over the next 12 months. Being that gold prices and investing in gold has become a hot topic as of late, it is interesting to see what a large group of investors predict for the movements of gold prices from our previous surveys. In the last 8 surveys, at least 60% of participants expected the price of gold to continue to rise over the next 12 months. During the same 7-month period, gold price rose 17% to $1222 per ounce.
